Terms & Conditions

These terms govern access to the Baloon internal beta and explain the responsibilities that come with recording, releasing, and connecting through the service.

Acceptance and eligibility

By creating an account or using Baloon, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and the Privacy Policy. The beta is intended for invited testers aged 18 or older. Stop using the service if you do not agree.

Beta access and accounts

Baloon is an evolving internal beta. Features may change, content may be removed, and access may be interrupted or ended. Keep your credentials secure and do not share access to your account.

A guest account is tied to its saved credentials and may be lost after reinstalling or changing devices. Linking Google or a verified email allows future sign-in but does not merge separate existing accounts.

Your content

You keep ownership of recordings, text, images, artwork, and balloon designs you create. You must have the rights and permissions required to upload and share them.

You grant Baloon a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process, reproduce, display, transmit, and adapt your content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service for the audience you selected. This licence ends when the content is deleted, subject to reasonable processing time, existing conversations, safety records, and backups.

Public, city, and private skies

People can browse and post in official city skies and Everywhere. Public content can be heard by other users. Private skies require access, and owners may manage members, remove balloons, or ban participants. Private access does not permit redistribution of another person’s content.

Released balloon designs are saved as snapshots. Editing a reusable design later does not change an earlier release. Top-level balloons normally remain discoverable for 48 hours; conversation history follows separate retention behavior.

Acceptable use

Use Baloon respectfully and lawfully. You may not use the service to harm people, interfere with the beta, or violate another person’s rights.

  • Do not harass, threaten, impersonate, exploit, stalk, or target people with hateful abuse.
  • Do not publish private information, recordings, photographs, or other content without permission.
  • Do not upload illegal, deceptive, infringing, non-consensual, sexually exploitative, malicious, spam, or scam content.
  • Do not evade blocks, bans, audience restrictions, rate limits, security controls, or account enforcement.

Connections and matching

Friendship and dating modes are optional. Dating requires a self-reported adult age check. A connection becomes mutual only when both people choose it. Respect declines, cancellations, disconnections, and requests to stop communicating.

Baloon does not guarantee another user’s identity, statements, intentions, compatibility, or conduct. Use good judgment before sharing personal details or meeting anyone offline.

Safety and moderation

Content is published immediately during this internal beta and is not reviewed by an AI approval queue before publication. Users can report content and block accounts. We may review reports, restrict visibility, remove content, suspend features, or terminate accounts to protect users and the service.

Ending access

You can stop using Baloon at any time and delete your account from Account settings. Deleting an owner account closes its shared skies and queues associated content for deletion.

We may limit or end access for violations, safety risks, unlawful use, operational needs, or the end of the beta. Sections that by their nature should continue after termination, including ownership, safety records, disclaimers, and responsibility for prior conduct, will continue as applicable.

Availability and responsibility

The beta is provided on an as-available basis. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, permanent storage, error-free features, successful matching, or recovery of an unlinked guest account. Back up any original media you want to keep.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded. For questions about these terms, use the contact channel supplied with your beta invitation.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the beta develops. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when a material change requires it. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law.
